Mummie’s: Secret’s from the Tomb

I decided to take a trip down to LA’s National History Museum over the weekend for their new Mummie’s: Secret’s from the Tomb exhibit. Aside from photography, I am deeply fascinated with Egyptology and ancient civilizations. This exhibit is currently showcasing over 10 never before seen mummies and ritual artifacts such as the fellow seen above.

As advancements in technology continue it has opened the door for new breakthroughs for researchers to peel away the layers of the past and discover more about this illusive and mysterious culture. The eerily realistic statue of the boy above was created by first scanning remains of a young prince then 3D printing a replica of the prince’s features.
